Belated November Update and TBR Challenges

Hellooo!

This is about a week late thanks to a rather unpleasant gastric bug! Feeling much better. How was my October - a bit busier than normal! After the recent re-organisation I’ve received a new job so this probably will mean I’ll be busy but doing something I really enjoy . A pleasant and welcome surprise and a huge to do list. Shouldn’t affect my blogging schedule but I am very much looking forward to the Christmas Holidays - five weeks to go!

Have a little TV rewatch project underway but I need a few more episodes before I start writing things up. Also starting to think of the 2023 Challenges for me and also you!

Now how has October’s TBR go?

Tidy The TBR

ARCs - 113 (100)

TBR - 99 (99)

A decent effort helped by a focus on the Clarke Award (just two I ran out of time on and as it was Spooky season I liberated quite a few horror tales from the shelves. My suspicio is I’ll be tackling arcs but a near 50/50 mix for ten months has paid off.

November TBR Challenges

Look, we are tired, we have book challenges and end of the year lists to prepare so I think for November its best to keep things small. Three Novellas are pretty much the size of a novel so why not treat yourself to three morsels?

I’m looking at these three

Mapping The Interior by Stephen Graham Jones - a really good horror author and this sounds up my street

The Lamb Will Slaughter The Lion by Margaret Killjoy - one of the oldes novellas on my reader

Whitstable by Stephen Volk - I’m intrigued as this novella features Peter Cushing in some way!

The stretch challnge for the mon th is also simple - 11th book in your TBR pile and I chose a shelf and that led me to A Stufy In Honour by Claire O’Dell which is a gender-flipped steampunk sounding version of SHerlock Holmes…it calls to me!

What Challenges await you? Let me know in the comments
